How much did your rabbit girls change after spaying?

My two go in for their's on Wednesday. How quickly did you notice your girls' personality changing and what did you notice was different about how they behaved?

My netherland dwarfs began to change after about a week but the bigger changes happened gradually over a few months.
My bigger netherland dwarf went in for spaying as she began to bite her cage mates. After spaying her behaviour got worse and she now lives alone. She is still feisty and is difficult to pick up after nearly a year. She has a very cute personality and is friendly in her own way. Once you have picked her up she does settle down and can be handled for a little while although she has been known to bite. I am in the process of harness training her which I hope may allow her to have a little more freedom and to be shown who is in control. I don't regret ever having her spayed as I know that it has dramatically reduced her risk of cancer and she is a happy bunny regardless of her bad attitude.
My second netherland dwarf went in for spaying to stop her from getting cancer. The spaying went well and she is fairly quiet and is easy to handle. She is definitely a good example of how well spaying works and is just as happy as her friend. Sadly she cannot live with my other netherland dwarf as she also fights however I do not think it is her who starts it. She is not lonely as she goes out in her run every day and is next to my other netherland dwarf and they like to see each other. She also enjoys watching my guinea pigs play in their run too.

Sorry this is so long but I felt that my examples might help you out. I think that the changes vary also between breed so your rabbits are probably likely to settle down really nicely (if they aren't netherland dwarfs!) and it should all go well.

I hope this helps, good luck.

I usually notice a behavioral difference within the first month, with maximum improvement in 2-3 months. They become more reliable at using a litter box, and usually substantially less aggressive (if aggression was an issue to begin with). They often become a bit more outgoing towards humans, and are always more receptive to the company of another rabbit.
