a thyroid goiter with nodules?

i have a goiter with nodules. my tsh always comes back in normal range. for 2 years my doc says watch it. i am tired all the time. my weight goes up and down. i have palpitaions sometimes, my hair is falling out. i hardley sleep which is strange to me seeing as i am always tired. i am achy alot. my new doc has referred me to an endochrinologist. i go the 23. i am just wondering what to expect. i have my bloodwork to take and a copy of my ultrasound, which showed that in the last year, the fluid nodules i had, one turned solid. i am very worried.

They will most likely recheck your TSH, probably your free T3, free T4, maybe your Thyroglobulin and antithyroglobulin. They should be able to tell if you are experiencing subclinical hypo or hyperthyroidism. Have you every gotten an ultrasound of your goiter? They might do another one, since one nodule is now hard. Have they ever suggested a biopsy? Don't worry, your new Endocrinologist will figure out what is wrong, and you'll be feeling normal again.
