What Supplement is best for energy?

So I have this horse, Sundance who receives amazing care and has no health issues other than a bone cyst in his shoulder.(He was broke young) Even with the cyst i am still allowed to ride him as much as I want, but he is given a supplement(MSM) daily to help his shoulder. He has a salt block and receives all of the vitamins and minerals he needs from grazing all day and his feed. We qualified for state fair and I've been working him super hard every day lately, but he does get 1 day off a week.(Changing things up so he doesn't get bored) He is getting stronger but he just doesn't have much energy. He acts lethargic when i ride but is at a healthy weight, worm free, and is muscled. My trainer said I should look into a supplement that gives him energy..one with proteins and calories and other things that give him more energy. I've looked into Dac Bloom..(Dac was recommended, plus he's already on the oil) It seems to be what I'm looking for. Any other supplements you reccomend and do you think Dac Bloom is what we need? Thanks! Sorry so long!

I don't use any supplements, but I feed my horse a sweetfeed and chaff each night. Its like a museli mix, soaked in molasses. it has a heap of grains and vitamins and oats and such. My horse was super lazy and lethargic, and he's only 10yo!!! Sweet feed is definetely worth a try, just replace his usual meal with 2kg (roughly one scoop) of sweet feed and 2kg of chaff.

Hope this helps

you can get a supplement called 'one cell' i think *-) ... and you use it over a period of say a month and this is supposed to up the iron in the blood which apparantly increases energy levels . It didn't work with my horse as he is just laid back in general. Im not a strong believer in them but many people would suggest oats. I find that these will just wire your horses head rather than boost actuall energy though. A good competition mix is good . Mine is on slow release comp. mix and conditioning cubes which help obv for the build up and stamina. Sorry im not much help , just thought id try x
