Thanks all of you for your answers. The Chosen One and Sinners Anonymous got it right. Siloan Tect you are right Jesus did go deeper. Hogie Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
The SECOND set that is actually described as the "10 commandments" in Exodus 34.
The set in Exodus 20 is the set that Christians use. NO WHERE does it state that those were the ten commandments before Moses broke them (yeah, nice job handling the words of God Moses). In fact, Exodus 34 is the first time they are described as the 10 commandments. And what's so wrong with that? Because chapter 34 is a completely different set than the one in chapter 20!
Loaded question. All were left out. The ten commandments were the core of the old covenant between God and Israel, and not God and Christians. Israelites "kept" the law; Christians "fulfill" it.
jews might say it was the one about having no other gods before God but one must first prove that Jesus was not the preexisten God of moses and abraham.
the very same "i am" that came to moses while moses saw the burning bush that was not consumed. is this not why christians believe Jesus said "i am" to Pilate. ?
