i used to use a set of clippers but that does not last long a all, so i started using the razor that i use for my face. last time i nicked my head in two or three different spot. my question is this, as i started out saying, to the shinny topped guys out there, what do you use and how long do you see results ( i have a serious stuble after about 9 hours)

I use cold water, a Gellette Fusion (four blades) and Gellette gel, even Barbasol gel works well. Every two or three days I'll shave. After a while, the skin toughens up and you won't nick it barely as much. If I get lazy and let it go for a week, it's back to the Norelco buzz cut, then razor. Yeah, fun. Don't get any grease/oil/trans. fluid on your head after shaving, it's a ***** of an itch! P.S. You could always wear it off with U-turns under the bed sheets. Saves a alot of $$$ and the Mrs. will love you for it!
I tried shaving my head once with a razor; it didn't work too well for me because I got tiny razor bumps that really hurt; so I cut that out quick, fast, and in a hurry. Now, I used to shave my head bald when my days were busy and didn't want to spend time brushing and greasing; I found that for me the most effective way was to use an electric shaver; for me it has a better finish and takes less time than shaving; and there is know problems from cuts.
Now, the most effective way if you want to cut down on shaving time I think would be to cut your hair bald with an electric shaver and for the next two weeks or so, give it a nice lining. I used to do this also.
I use the razor every 4-6 days. I have cut my melon up pretty good a few times too. Just gotta make sure your mind isn't wandering when you are doing it
