I am buying a new laptop. I need it for school documents and web surfing, but that's about it.
I want at least 2GB memory and 250GB hard drive.
I also would prefer an HP, Asus, or Compaq

Don't buy a Dell. I purchase only ASUS laptops and they are great systems. I personally use the F8 but I do support at my office for 15 more and I've not had a problem out of any of them.

my wife has this one i love it they sell another one like this with a bigger hard drive web cam, .a little more for it both have a full key board and wireless :)
