Does anyone know where the check valve is located that keeps the pressure side of the fuel line full?I have a 2001 Silverado with a 5.3 liter engine. It is not holding fuel in the line,so when the truck sits overnight you have to crank the engine for about 20 seconds til the line fills again. So is the check valve in the pump or somewhere else like the filter? Thanks

Nope Bandit it has had a new filter put on recently. It runs fine once it starts.

'01 is much too new for me, but in my '94 it's part of the fuel pump, which is inline along the frame rail beneath the cab.
we have a few of them here,i believe its part of the pump system buddy. since its an electric pump though,it should fill up as soon as you turn the key, check for an air block in the fuel line, theres a valve on the fuel rail ,looks like a tire valve, depress the center pin with the key on,if fuel comes out,it's fine,if air, depress it untill you get just fuel.
If that's gas VORTEC engine that's multipoint injection, interior the intake are the injectors they're carry jointly all jointly curiously like a spider with 8 legs finding on what number cylinders the engine has i'm hoping this enables, I also have a query for you what's e-80 5?
it sounds to me like the fuel filter is clogging up. dirt can settle in the fuel filter overnight and stop the flow of fuel until the dirt gets washed away then it starts.
