And maybe we have a different perception of what constitutes a human being... I personally don't believe a sociopathic killer is a human, but a monster... Let me ask you this. Would you want him living next door to you on release, or running into him or her on their escape from prison???? MMMMHMMMM, yeah.......

That is a very good question. Why kill an innocent baby but not a filthy rapist?
The pro-choice is because most Liberals believe that a woman's body is her own business and the Government has no business in her womb.
The anti-capital punishment part is because most Liberals are against the Government killing someone who is, at this point, most certainly a human being. Primarily, it comes down to what someone considers alive and or conscious. If it is just a matter of LIFE, no one should even wash their hands because it kills bacteria, so we're really looking at what makes someone human.
Because it's based on logic, not emotions. Abortion is done on an unwanted clump of cells with no nervous system, not an 'innocent child'. The death-penalty is on a living, breathing person and is not effective as a deterrent and sends the wrong message about the value of human life and human rights.
Edit: firstly I think everyone agrees that abortion fo a 7 month old fetus is very wrong unless it's a medical emergency to save the mother. Secondly obviously a psychopathic murderer is not going to be released to 'live next door'. So those arguments don't hold up.
I'm pro-choice, pro death penalty and pro euthanasia. Anything to lower the population.
Why are most republicans against abortion, yet they are for sending kids to war? It's mass murder, yet neocons support it all the time. We send our sons to kill the sons of another country, they haven't even been convicted of a crime, they simply come from a different land.
