This tv is seldom used and only about 200 hours on it before it burned out. Viewsonic online is no help, they want me call there service tech for repairs.

Well that's only 50 days...you should have a warranty still in effect. Get your purchase reciept, make a copy of it, and deliver it to the nearest Viewsonic authorized service center that the Viewsonic company has....
Once that's done, the servicer will replace the defective board and you'll have a brand new board with a longer life installed.
After all, warrantys are there just in case a good board goes bad....
So....don't get your you-know-whats in a bundle, they'll take care of you.
