Good tankmates for Kribs?

I want to get some Kribs but I want to know good tankmates. I do not want regular tropical fish like danios and tetras. I was wondering if they could be put other African cichlids. I have on peacock and several red zebras and Kenyis. The peacock is not currently in with the others. Can I keep Kribs with any of these or should I just keep a tank of Kribs? I am new to cichlids so I am still working it all out. Thanks.

Rams are nice looking, I wonder if they are readily available. I don't recall seeing those in the stores.

What about Jewel cichlids?

Kribensis are not from the African Rift Lakes so they would not be good tank mates for Peacocks or Mbuna like Red Zebras.

They work really well with other dwarf cichlids and with barbs. You would want to avoid any fish that has long fins(like angelfish) and also super tiny fish that they would see as food. You would also want to keep fish that might leave them alone if they spawn as Kribensis can be pretty aggressive when they do. You would want to provide them with a cave area. This can be a rock pile or a turned over flower pot.

Good luck with your fish!

German rams and other dwarf cichlids can go with kribs.
