then he did some research and wrote origin of species.

It's like cross-country skiing - it can be as hard as you want to make it. Do you want to study rhetoric and logic, and learn how to form a reasoned argument? Or will you be satisfied to just use absurdities and refutation in place of them? Will you study biology, evolution, chemistry, geology, and other sciences, or would you be content to just quote or misquote the bible? Will you work towards having an open mind and grow intellectually, or will you be insular and close-minded and bigoted?
