Why do colored women sing with power and attitude?
This is just an observation, and I mean it in the best way, but why do colored women tend to sing with so much power and attitude in their voice and gestures compared to others?

I think it's because of the struggles they've faced as a race carry on to the next generations

First this is 2009 and we are not "colored" anymore we are "black" or "african american". But the answer is they are women and most women use their emotions in every thing they do.....black women sing with all those feelings....if you ever watch they smile, frown may cry and may laugh while singing.
