well did you evah is sooooo cheesy.... soooooo cheesy..... i remember when i got red hot and blue primarily for tom waits amazing cover of "its alright with me" and thought - well, iggy pop and debby harry that should be goo... but its soooooooo cheesy......soooooo very.... cheeesssssyyyyyyyyyy......

anyway, i have no real answer. just talkin'.

BQ: anyone care for some frank and bing being just as cheesy? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PEVkdcza9c

more off topic rambling- anyone else watch the red hot and blue movie all the way through? with the most akward public service message ever courtesy of david byrne? (not really a movie so much as a collection of music videos with some talking between them)

I'm at work, which unfortunately isn't conducive to checking out those videos - at least the audio, anyway. But for the record, I like Debbie Harry a lot, and I'm a huge fan of Iggy Pop, so I have a hunch that that will be my pick once I get to see and hear those vids. (Nothing against EC or PF; I just never especially got into their work.)

I have so many favorites, I could go on forever! My all time favorite Blondie song is Maria. I love the whole Eat To The Beat album (Atomic, Union City Blue, Shayla, Dreaming, etc.). I also love Sunday Girl (my name), Heart of Glass (my ringtone), War Child, Hanging On The Telephone, The Tide Is High, Slow Motion, Walk Like Me, Picture This, Youth Nabbed As Sniper, In The Sun, and many more. My all time favorite Debbie Harry song is Strike Me Pink. I love all of her solo songs as well as all of Blondie's songs. Some others I especially like are Two Times Blue (single from her new CD), Feel The Spin, I Can See Clearly, Keep On Going, and Calmarie.

I enjoyed the music and vocal flow on The Patience Bossa, but lyrically it was kinda (insert synonym for cheesy here)

bq- I'm not allowed to answer that question. Court orders.

Honestly, I hate them all. Even the Iggy Pop one. The first time I heard it I thought I was gonna puke! Iggy is NOT supposed to be doing all those lovey-dovey songs, [there are more! D:], NO! But - I will choose the Iggy Pop one anyway because, one - it's Iggy Pop, two - I think it was for charity, and three - I can still enjoy it with the sound off. :P
