Do you still find yourself repeating numbers back to people?

I find that even after a decade of being out of the service, I repeat back direction and numbers...

I still say "say again" insted of "repeat" that

Yes! I think it is an important habit I picked up in the service. It annoys me if I don't get an opportunity to confirm what I have just heard in terms of directions or numbers. You are not alone!

Hmmm, I was always taught to repeat them back as a child, and always found it a little annoying when others don't do it. How do I know you copied correctly if you don't say anything?

Drive through speaker: Can I take your order?
Me: You can take my order
pause
Me: I'd like combo number 3 with Sprite.
DSP: Would you like to large-size that?
Me: I would like to large size that.
DSP: Does that complete your order?
Me: That does complete my order.

I also tell people my phone# is xxx-xxx-seven zero six zero. I can't remember the last "number" I pronounced "OH."

I HAVE finally trained myself to tell the Pharmacy my DOB Month-first 'cause when I say "12 July" they get confused trying to figure-out what day in December that is.
