What if this verse is correct?

Psa 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth forever.

Does it mean that if someone is not obeying the commandments that even if you explain the Bible they CAN'T understand it?

That is exactly what it means.

You can explain til you are blue in the face, they will not be really listening to you, they hear what they want to hear.

They do not love God

1stJohn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

clearly we can infer from this sentence that if we do not love God, we do not keep His Commandments, alternately, if we do not keep His Commandments, we do not love God.

Jesus, who is God, gave us two Commandments.

#1 Love your God-fulfill this by keeping the first 4 of the 10 Commandments, pay special attention to the 4th Commandment, which is the Sabbath Day Commandment, as this one is the most commonly overlooked. Check your calendar to see what day "the seventh day" is.

#2 Love your neighbor- fulfill this by keeping the last 6 of the 10 Commandments.

Jesus said, in Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

And heaven and earth aint passed yet friend!

p.s. I like the direct and clear way you think, God bless you.

Do you see how most of these people , pussyfoot around the word commandments with other words of their own, this is so pathetic! And seeing how these couple of weeks the keeping the commandment issue has been on yahoo, I know full well those that say keep the commandments re-swallow their own words when reminded that the seventh day sabbath happens to be one of those commandments of God.

Over and Over and Over again these people have been shown through the new testament that we are indeed to keep the commandments of God, Yet blindly these people insist that the 4th one is done away with, it for Israel only, pathetic!

They either don't understand or afraid to go against their teachers of of satan , or/and both.

Richarda.... has the truth and best answer here.

1Co 7:19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.

I have grown weary of these people, I don't have near the patience that God has, so I will call them all liars and worshipers of satan without even knowing they are.

1Jn 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Here's one way to look at that verse you have quoted:

3 Psalm 111:10 declares: “The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom.” What does that mean? Wisdom is the ability to use knowledge successfully to solve problems, ward off danger, and attain certain goals. It involves sound judgment. The beginning, the first part, the foundation of such wisdom, is the fear of Jehovah. Why? Because all creation is the work of his hands. It is dependent on him. He endowed humankind with free will but not with the ability to direct their own steps successfully apart from his guidance. (Joshua 24:15; Jeremiah 10:23) Only if we appreciate those fundamental facts about life and live in harmony with them can we have lasting success. If our knowledge of Jehovah gives us unshakable conviction that God’s will is certain of success and that his promise and ability to reward faithfulness are sure, then godly fear is going to motivate us to act wisely.—Proverbs 3:21-26; Hebrews 11:6.

4 Consider an example. Some decades ago, a young man was attending the University of Saskatchewan, in Canada. Included in the curriculum was biology, and he was taught evolution. After graduation, he specialized in atomic physics, receiving a scholarship to continue his studies at the University of Toronto. As he studied, he saw marvelous evidence of order and design in atomic structures. But no answers were given to the questions: Who designed all of this? When? And why? Without those answers, could he possibly use his knowledge wisely in a world that was then at war? What would guide him? Nationalism? A desire for materialistic rewards? Really, had he acquired true wisdom?

The fear of Jehovah is not like a morbid fear, such as you might feel if you came into contact with a spider. It is more of a respectful fear, fear of displeasing him. Big difference.

First you have to understand the bible, it was written in such a way as not to be deciphered That's why it's been altered so many times.

Thomas Paine (1737-1809)
Anglo-American political philosopher, whose writings influenced the American Revolution (1775-1783) the French Revolution (1789-1799), and the freethought movements ever since
Any system of religion that has anything in it that shocks the mind of a child, cannot be a true system.

How can you be so sure that YOU understand what you are trying to explain to others? There are thousands of different Protestant denominations, and the teachings of each one - which means the biblical understanding of each one - conflicts with the others. Truth cannot conflict with truth; therefore many of the beliefs/teachings of such churches are untrue! So how do you know your beliefs/ teachings are true?? And don't say "they come right out of the Bible" because that's what every denomination says. Perhaps "doing His commandments" includes obeying His command that there is to be only ONE Church, the one He founded on the apostles. Disobey that command and doctrinal chaos is sure to result. As demonstrated in unauthorized manmade denominational religion.
