I need a tire tube for my bike, the size on the tube is 700 x 35/43C. The tubes in my local walgreens are all size 27 X 1 1/4 or such. Is there a tube in the second standard that will do the trick, or do I have to actually hunt down a tube marked 700 x 35/43C? I tried to find a conversion table on line, but there appear to be several standards, and I'm a complete novice when it comes to bicycles. Thanks in advance.

Go to the local bike shop and get the correct size tube. You can use any tube that is 700 x your tire size the 35/43 is the range the tube will fit. If you have a 38c tire for instance a 35-38 tube will work.

I agree that you should just go to a bike shop to get the proper tube size. If that is impossible for some reason, a 27x1 3/8" would be the same size (or close enough). Even the 27x1 1/4" would work, but you'd run a much higher risk of getting flats because the wall of the tube would be stretched too thin since the tube is really too narrow.
