Why don't the people on yahoo hold the majority Dem legislators as responsible for the state of California?

They are the ones who have been writing the laws giving everything away.

Suppose the Governor announces that he is sponsoring a tax cut bill. Some Republican legislator actually introduces the measure, but the Governor considers it to be HIS proposal. It gets tweaked a bit in legislative committee, and then a tax cut bill gets passed. Does the Governor take the credit for it? Of course. So Governors do take credit for some legislative accomplishments, yes?

I think it's up to the voters of California to make their voices heard as to who is responsible for the state of California. I'm sure many of the Californians who are on yahoo do know where the blame lies.

They aren't just the majority but a near 2/3 majority to boot. It is liberal spending that's the issue in California, not the fact we're the highest taxed people in the nation. Spending, spending, spending.

Because of the 2/3rds rule and the governor's veto - as the immediate reasons. But it goes back to Prop 13.

Because it's not just the Democrats who have been writing laws and putting us in the hole. Republicans have also been doing this. Remember that part where Schwarzenegger is a Republican, and he passes all the laws? ;)

Both parties are to blame, it is not just Democrats or Republicans, or even the odd third party person.
