What are some good songs that provide you with a moment of clarity?

It could be something in the lyrics or the mood of the music or whatever. Just songs that make you go "Ahh, it all makes sense now, this life thing" or something to that effect.

Q2: What are some songs that make you feel like you don't know what's right and wrong anymore?

BQ: Have you ever participated in or been the recipient of a drug and/or alcohol intervention? If so, which group of songs that you listed for Q1 & Q2 would have fit the mood of that experience better?
BQ2: How often do you clean the cobwebs out of your head?

Actually that happened a couple of days ago when I was listening to the song It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding) by Bob Dylan.

I especially like the lines:
"For them that must obey authority that they do not respect in any degree who despise their jobs, their destinies. Speak jealously of them that are free. Do what they do just to be nothing more than something they invest in."

I just think that there's a lot of people in the world that feel like that. People that have a lot of aspirations but then see them unfulfilled and end up getting jobs that they hate and become kinda disillusioned with life and the world in general

A lot of the Manics songs make me feel like that actually.

Time by Pink Floyd

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
And you are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in a quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say

Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
And when I come home cold and tired
Its good to warm my bones beside the fire

Far away across the field
the tolling of the iron bells
calls the faithful to their knees
to hear the softly spoken magic spells
