I think the auto body place switched out my car seat?

I had to take my 4 month old brand new car to the auto body shop due to a road rage incident. I believe one of the workers switched out my leather bucket seat with his. He had told me he had the same exact car. A few days after picking up my car I noticed a small tear on the side of the seat. I believe this was the reason for the switch. I also noticed that now when I make turns it feels like my seat moves from side to side. Anyone know what I can check to be sure ? Any way I can prove this ? Thanks

This is a tough one because it's your word against theirs. Even though I hate to admit it, I've seen this done before. ( Coming from the body shop side). I would recommend that you let your insurance company know your concerns. They should be able to help back you up in this matter. Or at least expose this body shop of who they are. Also ask the body shop if they did a check in on your car the day it was dropped off and noted any pre-existing damages to your vehicle, ie a rip in your seat. Usually if they didn't you have them and your word generally will win. Good Luck!

If it is a brand new car, both seats should have the same production code numbers attached to the bottom of the seat. Find the numbers and compare.

Right ! ! Someone stole your wheels in order that they took your auto to an vehicle frame save rather of a tire save --------- WHY ??? And tow vehicles DO NOT tow vehicles on their brake rotors.
