Peele's Handbook of Mining ENgineering. Also The Economic Geology reviews, published yearly. THe most detailed info comes from the papers mining companies must file with government agencies, as part of their environmental impact report- they have to go into considerable detail about the natural state of the deposit, how the ore will be extracted and the results of it.
