Ack! This fake Advanced Virus Remover is taking over my computer!!!?

Question

Apparently I now have to download something else off the internet to fix this.  I'm obviously wary about that since this thing suddenly appeared on my computer, so is there any other way I could get rid of it?  Ugh it changed my desktop background to a warning and won't let me change it!

Geek Squad can do it, but it will cost you 250 dollars. Download Spybot and Malwarebytes. They are free and 100% safe. After you have downloaded them, run a full scan with Spybot. When it finds it, remove the virus. After that, use Malwarebytes just in case Spybot missed something. This will work. If you have any problems, just send me an e-mail. Good Luck.

Let me guess, personal antivirus?
get malware bytes.Just download the program and hit scan
im guessing it will find malware rather quickly.
let the scan continue then delete all infected files
then reboot machine(meaning restart it)

edit:Yes that fakeware will tell you that every reputable site is an attack site.download.com is another site that is blocked by this malware
