Is there any way to transfer previously recorded TV shows off my Motorola DCH3416 cable box? I want to take shows I have bought (boxing and UFC PPV) off the box and transfer them to DVD, just to have them (not to sell, just to have on DVD). Is there any way to do this?

Yes, by playing to a DVD recorder and recording.
No with digital connections on the box.

I'm not sure, but i'm looking for the same thing. I have 2 ideas so far. A HD video capture card to record the video to a computer. And (don't even try this if you don't have electronics experience) I'm not sure what method this box uses to store data. If it's a hard drive or removable flash memory I'm going to connect the drive to my laptop and copy the files over. Hopefully they arent saved in some proprietary format.
