If the AARP is not endorsing the President's Bill, why are they spending millions to back it?

There is a new fear commercial showing cars trying to block an ambulance from getting to the hospital. Did the members get a chance to vote on how their dues were spent or was it driven like a union mentality, the president asks and the AARP jumped? If they wanted to spend the money constructively, could they not have simply paid for a time slot in which the questioned parts of the bill were read and discussed?

AARP is a far left organization. Some kind of deal has been struck or they would not be backing any of this legislation.
AARP are right to die kind of people. I am a right to live kind of person. I would never join the AARP.

AARP is an insurance company posing as a senior citizens lobby.
AARP has long been a supporter of left wing causes as well.
I am a member of AARP but, having seen their duplicity, will not renew my membership when it comes due this fall.

AARP recognizes the need for change in the health insurance system. They started backpedaling when someone said they backed the president's bill containing death squads and their membership got up in arms. They had to back down. They still support change.

They could certainly used their money more effectively.

I called the AARP to cancel my membership, when I asked them if they want to know why, they said it because of the Obama health care and they would be sending me a refund check within a week.
