flat feet are caused by heredity or alignment problems, any exercises you do would be to gain proper alignment & frankly, someone would actually have to "see' you for that, cuz it could possible invole more than just your "foot";; your insoles possible could have been "measured" improperly, get them checked cuz I know they cost a fortune;; the BEST thing you can do for them is to have a really good, proper arch support, you may get slight discomforts for a few days in other areas of your legs, or even pelvic region, low back, but just a couple days til you get used to them;; I would be questioning the insoles you've gotten;; then I would be also looking into possible nerve invovlement from other sources causing the pain (I guess to "rule out" things like neuropathy, poor circulation, etc).. good luck!!

i have flat feet too. and i went to a running room store to see if they had any special shoes because when i ran normal shoes hurt my knees, they told my i had over pronating feet and to try "saucony hurricane 10's" http://www.runnersworld.com/cda/shoefinder_detail/1,,s6-240-325-329-0-0-0-0-1354,00.html. that was over a year ago and im on my second pair. no pain since. i love them.

ps. there are now hurricane 11's out. havent tried em though

i have falt feet too and it sucks because i love to run... and in order to runn you need to have good running shoes

and to be honest their really is no way to change the way how your feet is so insoles arent really nessary. they actully make your feet hurt even moree

and strectches... i guess do shin and calf streches because the one main thing that hurts when you have flat feet after running is your shins and calfs

so then strech them before and after. :]

even if you do or dont run you should still do it
