MotoGP: 250cc Brno after race...............?

.......... is this : http://www.crash.net/motogp/news/151088/1/pictures_alvaro_bautistas_embarrassing_back-flip.html not one of the funniest thingss you have seen in a long time ?

No I have banged myself up pretty bad, and I would never laugh at someone falling off, but I know that Alvaro is fine after his little spill.

Note to self Alvaro.... cover the rear brake.

So, my question is after todays spill : Have any of you had a crash that was " funny " ?

The only one I can think of for myself is getting a right hander too fast on my old RS 125 Chesterfield and going straight through an open farmers gate and scaring the hell out of some sheep ! Nor me or the sheep were hurt so thats ok.

I crashed my last owned track bike ( RC51 ) at Donnington at over 100mph and smashed the bike to bits. I lay in the gravel gutted that I just wasted the bike and the St Johns team thought I was dead or badly. I just got up, brushed myself down and walked off ! Not even a chipped finger nail ! Six months before that, I slipped on some oil in the paddock, fell off at walking pace, broke my right arm and cracked my right ankle !

Did the exct same thing on a Z650B1, pulled out of an arcade with a mate on the back, sat her up,showing off... mate was so drunk he leaned back. before I could drop her back down we were side ways and horizontal.
very embarrasing... never even broke an indicator. and it had 4 into 2s on. not a scratch.
but we got up and hightailed out of there pretty rapid.
Funny for those looking - not us.

Edit. same bike - dropped it turning it round (walking) when picking it up new. hadnt even sat on it.. maybe I should have taken the hint ?

I can't really say they were funny at the time, but embarrassing for sure.

The most painful experience was just after I sold my RM 250 to a buddy of mine, and he was trying to ride wheelies on it, with not much success. Of course I had to say "Hey, let me show you how to do that". Wheelie went fine, but after setting down, I grabbed too much front brake on an oil and gravel road. I still have nightmares about the Dr. using a bristled brush to get the rocks out of my elbows.

Similar experience a couple years later on my recently purchased YZ 250. Bunch of buddies parked at the ride spot, I decided a wide open wheelie across a farmers field would be appropriate. Unfortunately for me, corn stalks are not very forgiving either. I now know what a pin cushion feels like.

On a rare, beautiful, warm & sunny day in mid January, while stationed in Germany, I took my GSXR-750 out for a ride. Decided that Feldberg mountain would be the place to go (stupid idea). I was half way up when it started snowing. But by then I was bound and determined to make it to the top. With about 1/2 mile and 4 turns left, I lost it on the ice. Couldn't get going again after that, too slippery. Had to tip-toe the bike back down hill below freezing level, all along a bunch of cars going bye...honking...yelling...waving (with 1 finger).... not fun at all.

Silly Alvaro but that was so funny!
My only crash was on my friend's dirt bike. I had to much speed on a jump and went over the landing point. Nothing serious :p
