I recently downloaded Google Chrome...and noticed that there wasn't a menu bar set-up. (File, Tools, etc..) Is there a way to access to them? or atleast access to the file from menu? I want to work offline...I would need to go to file...but, can I do that from this confusing Google Chrome?
I don't see why that's awesome.... I am going to switch back to my regular Internet Explorer.

Have you seen that Paper and Wrench icons below the minimize, maximize and close buttons? Those were menus. And it contains special actions.
(a) The Paper (or File menu) controls the current webpage. Like viewing the web page's source, saving the current web page, print it, zoom it. All actions were regards to the current webpage viewed.
(b) The Wrench (or Settings) allows you to control Google Chrome. Like say: "Chrome, make me a new tab" or "Chrome, hide me from my wife" (lol, that means incognito). It would also allow you to view your past viewed websites, change Chrome lenguaje, or shut Chrome down. :D
See? It's so easy, but you might still think that you'll find it uncomfortable for about 2 weeks as long as you'll use Chrome dedicatedly.

It's awesome that even Safari (a web browser for Mac) and Firefox have or planning to implement it. (see sources 1 and 2)

Sorry, Google Chrome has no offline support as of now. BUT with Gears, a prebundled feature in Google Chrome which allows websites to use offline storage access (HTML5 style, according to developers). This would allow websites to store some important files to your computer for better web browsing. Example: You can access your emails in Gmail OFFLINE, create documents on Zoho OFFLINE and pinpoint yourself using Google Maps. :D

Go ahead, as long as you're updated to IE8 and not sticking with 6.
Else, Youtube and other well known sites will not allow you to go to their contents. (see 3) ;)
Other notes:
- If you're still experiecing problems, hit F1 for Chrome Help Center ;)
- Google Chrome has other features that web browsers have and doesn't have like spid, easy-to-use, HTML5 support and better phishing and malware blocker and most of all the speed, oh did I mention that?

I also hate not having a menu bar. The tool bar does nothing for me except bookmarks. I think I may switch to another browser myself. After using Chrome since it has been available, it will be difficult to change, but I really need to work without trying to remember more alt+ icons. Also have notice, Chrome doesn t have a Spell Check Dictionary any longer that will allow you to change words it has picked up and uses (even though they are misspelled!) So, if Google needs to remove all the things that makes our lives easier, it s time to change to a new browser. Very displease PC user!

Just because Safari, Chrome and Firefox are doing something doesn t make it awesome. Everyone here seems to want the menu bar (i.e. the users do NOT find it awesome). I do not use Chrome for that reason and others.
