Juvenile Iguana developing weird spots?

I also put out a plate of food in the morning one time and found fuzzy mold on it that night so maybe he got into that? and the Zilla Supplement is supposed to help with color...maybe thats it?

I have a juvenille iguana who has delevolped some wierd dark spots. theyre on its face and neck. The ones on the neck are kinda lead, metallic looking, like if it were from a pencil. The ones on the face are just black, and the area around it are grey. He hangs out in the window all day, on the top of the bottom window (slide down type) so hes on metal all the time. he has a heating pad and a red lamp and i admit, has a crappy UVB?? i think it is, the actual light one. His diet is usually callord greens and bok choy and then gets strawberry peices for treats and has had celery for the first time yesterday. He aslo had Zoo med Zilla food supplement and Rep Cal calcium. Every other like 3-4 days he get to soak in the bathtub. These spots werent here when i got him and a either a new one appears or one changes like every few days. Ive gotten really attached to him and really want him to survive. So help me to know what these spots are.

your iggy might just be getting older. are the spots on his dew lap? If so, don't worry. Make sure he has fresh water everyday and get a uva and uvb light,it's a must. If he's happy he'll stay a nice shade of green for you. They tend to get dark when they are cold.

I don't think those spots are from your iggy growing older so I'm going to rule out that possibility. With that said to me it looks as if your iggy got a fungal infection from somewhere. I can't tell you where, but I would be taking him to the vet. Even if I am wrong an they are growing spots it would be nice to know .

Take him to the vet. It could be a fungal infection which could lead to mouth rot.
