How long with it take for a 7 month old to adapt to a new home?

I left my husband yesterday (found ANOTHER sexual email to a DIFFERENT person... some just don't stop) and my daughter has been so fussy the past 24 hours.... I am at my parent's house and my father was offended when I said she didn't like it here. But when I meant, nothing is familiar. She sleeps in a pack n play, instead of her crib. It doesn't smell like "home". I had a difficult time feeding her today. And whenever I leave a room, she freaks out. Never has that happen before.

I am so tempted to go back "home" because she's acting so bad, but I know I wouldn't be happy. How long will it be until she's comfortable?

Please don't go back because of the baby's fussiness! You need to see a lawyer and make this break permanent- neither you nor your daughter needs a creep like that around. Anyway, it really does only take 2 or 3 days and she'll be here old happy self again. Just give her extra attention right now- it'll help keep your mind occupied, too. Good Luck

Yep 3 days. I've found that's the magic number with babies (mine included) for them to get used to *anything* new, whether it be a change in their routine, or a change in surroundings, ...not food though. No matter how much I offer squash now she won't eat it.

Try to relax yourself too, I know it must be hard and I sorry for your situation, but babies will pick up on that stuff.

I just went through something kinda like this...except my husband got sick with bronchitis and i had to go stay at my parents house for a week we just got home today, and she loves being at home and nowhere else, so it took her a couple days to get use to being there, it only took about 3 days so your baby will get use to it, you just have to give her sometime, also walk her around the house so she can get used to being there.
sorry about you having to leave your husband over something like that, its just sad on his part that he would do that to his wife, and with you having a child together.
