my fave character of all time is Elodin from The Name of the Wind.
He is so cool and cracked up. I laughed so much reading him....

Quiet insane ones. Ones who see the world differently to other people. Think Grenouille from Suskind's Perfume.

I also love just brilliantly happy, optimistic people. People who don't give a damn what other people think.

I like realistic characters, ones with a lot of flaws and problems, rather than ones who seem like they have not a care in the world.
Basically the entire Glass family by Salinger, and pretty much just any character he's ever written. I feel like every character he's written was/is a real person.

my favourit types of characters are the funny ones that are crazy but still good and care for others. also the couple that are in love haha.
