Fact 1 - The world is not perfect. Human beings are not perfect. The institutions created and operated by human beings are not perfect. This fact applies to private and public entities.

Fact 2 - False positives, false negatives and incorrect diagnoses happen all the time, everywhere. It's not that it happens that's important. It's how often it happens and how big the mistakes are. Twelve hundred veterans out of the millions the VA handles is a minor thing, hardly a blip on the great map of healthcare.

Fact 3 - When you get news that is very bad or even very good, check it out before you believe it. Don't grieve or don't celebrate until you've verified that it's true. Too many Americans seem to enjoy the adrenaline rush their panic gives them. We've become the OMG! nation....Show more

If the rules and guidelines were enforced that are in place, the VA would work better.
Reforming the current system is the only way of bettering it.
If the Obama-care you speak of were rules and guidelines that were to protect and serve,
And make healthcare providers resposible for the actions with regardes to cost, care, and the patients well being...Than...yes...I do. :)...Show more
