Pride and dignity: same thing or very different?

Foolish pride is often a trait of very stubborn people, but can you maintain dignity without being prideful? I see a clear distinction but am curious how others feel.

I think this obviously posted in the wrong place as it has nothing to do with sexual orientation.

I think there's a difference. A person with lots of pride wouldn't ask for directions. A person with lots of dignity wouldn't, I dunno, run through the streets naked. lol I know what I'm getting at, I'm just too tried (and a weee bit drunk) to explain what I mean.

Like, a loss of dignity will but that person in a bad light in people's eyes. But a loss of pride only affect your own beliefs. Did that make sense?
