Holden's Funeral- ATWT?

Yes! Thank you for saying something! I really thought that ATWT was going to be like it's old self and do an outstanding job at uniting the town. Oakdale is close-night and everyone should be there; Holden was a well-known man AND a business person. So, he's got a ton of acquaintances. However, the church had like 15 people in it. I don't get why Katie, Liberty, Rosanna, Craig, Margo, Tom, Emily, and Bonnie weren't there. I mean, he and Emily were tight. He knows Margo well, and Bonnie was an old lover and a lawyer for him. So, it just seemed strange that none of the people he normally interacts with or had a past with was there. For instance, everyone is connected to him someway and it disappoints me that ATWT did such a horrible job during a scene that could have been Emmy winning material.

I would have loved to see Abby, Molly, and his other extended family around. Lisa Grimaldi and Bob Hughes would have been nice additions as well. It was nice to see Aaron there; that was surprising!...Show more

Here is my opinion on the whole Holden Funeral thing......

For starters it was really good to see Aaron there. First person that comes to mind as far as missing the funeral is Jack, where is Jack? I was certain he would have been there. I also agree with you Abagail should have been there. Whenever they have a funeral(for the most part) all of Oakdale is there saying there goodbyes. There were so many people missing. If you ask me the whole Funeral was odd, I mean nobody got up and said anything about Holden and they did not say there goodbyes(not from what I see anyway, I missed like 5 minutes of the show that day) but none the less it was not a Funeral in my eyes. It was more about Damien then Holden and it was Holden's day for crying out loud!! I mean it's like a race between Lily and Meg on who can get more of Damien's attention. Even on Holden's day, they still acted like Damien was the only person that mattered....If you ask me Damien should not have been there, Holden really dislikes him and in my eyes it was disrespectful to have him there in the first place. I don't know the whole thing just did not make sense to me.....I hope that Lily comes back to planet earth before she sleeps with Damien and ruins everything. It is so sad because as soon as Meg finds out about the kiss, which she will. It is going to be a war between Lily and Meg, and the whole family is going to sucked in. Come Home Holden Soon.....

I agree with School18. They left out alot of the family members. It didn't seem like a funeral at all. They could have done alot better. If they don't do something, they're going to end up like Guiding Light...off the air....Show more

It did feel off to me. it didnt feel like a funeral. isnt all of oakdale supposed to be there? I was however surprised that aron showed up, but even more surprised at how all his kids acted. it was as if they lost they're cousin , not their dad. I know if I lost my dad, at his funeral, problems in our family would be the last thing on my mind. oh and I CANNOT STAND the outside or "real" lighting they use. everytime they use it, it feels like guidinglight. what happened to the church they used when jennifer died? THAT was a soap opera church. sometimes I think they try to be like GL on purpose to get cancelled as well. sorry didnt mean to go on rant there, its just that this soap has so much potential and it feels like their not even trying sometimes. I cant wait till brad gets killed off, so they can have an excuse to get rid of liberty and janet. lemme just get this last thing in, jack belongs with carly. its weird to have atwt w/out martha or maura now....Show more

I would have like to seen his sisters Iva and Ellie. Also brother Caleb his wife Julie and Abagail......I know they are bringing back her mother ( Molly Mc Kinnon).

The Snyder's are supposed to be this large close knit family. And like you said many of them were not even mentioned, the writers dropped the ball on this one.
It's attention to history is one of ATWT strong points...usually....Show more
