Just a little test of your "bible knowledge". There were a total of 14 Apostles - name them.?
Also - if you care to state your faith - I would appreciate it.
I'm an atheist and have read the bible many times over. Every time I ask a question about "faith" - invariably I will get someone who say's "Have you ever even read the bible?"
Well - show me how well you know it.
COPYING AND PASTING = automatic disqualification. It's really easy to spot - so please give a HONEST answer concerning your personal knowledge.
Thank you.

Peter, Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, James, John, Matthew, James, Thomas, Jude, Simon, Judas ... followed by Matthias, who replaced Judas, and Paul.
If you're not counting Paul and Matthias, you might be referring to Thaddeus, which is the name given to Jude in Mark and some manuscripts of Matthew; or to Lebbaeus, which is the name given to Jude in other manuscripts of Matthew. If we don't allow that "Thaddeus" and "Lebbaeus" are other names for Jude, then we get fourteen apostles that way, too. So maybe there are really sixteen.
If I really told you all the names of the apostles, what would it do? It wouldn't change anything. You're still an atheist, and I'm still a Christian. So you don't believe in what I know to be true. Your point is?
I bet your just waiting, waiting for someone dumb enough to actually even tell you the apostles' names. Maybe not. But you're not going to hear it from me. Telling you would be like saying, "Oh, look at me! I know the name of every single apostle! I'm so smart!" But I'm sorry, that's not what religion is about! Religion is about loving and believing in God and his Son. It's also about more, like loving your family and taking care of everyone around you. Trying to be like Christ and never giving up. You don't understand just how much we sacrifice, do you? We have been persecuted so much, and you just sit back and laugh! And I'm not taking it anymore. I'm not going to be made fun of for my beliefs! Because I've been there. And I'm not going back. I'll just believe in my church quietly and alone if I have too. I'll tell you something though: I'm not alone. I've got my family, the church, some of my friends at school, and even the entire six million or so people around the world that believe what I believe. 1/3 of everyone on the planet. And 2/3 just point and laugh. I'm not saying you do specifically, but a lot of people do.
It's your life, and you have everything to gain. But it's your choice. You can stay the way you are, but you never know. You might listen some day. You might not. Wouldn't it be nice, though, to have hope in your life. What atheists believe is that when you get married, after you die, that's it. You're not married anymore. And after you die, you don't go anywhere, you're just dead, a body rotting in the ground. And that there is no loving and helpful God out there to rescue you when he thinks you need it the most. What I believe is that you can get married for eternity, and families are forever, not just until you die, and you do go to heaven when you do die. God is there for you, even if you don't know it. Just waking up alive is a blessing from God. He loves you more than you can comprehend, and don't ever think that he has forgotten you. He knows you better than anyone else does, maybe even yourself.
I'm sorry if I've wasted your time. I'd like to hope that maybe I reached to you, that maybe you aren't like other people, that you might have actually listened. But I'll never know. Only you will.
I hope you listened. I hope I didn't make you angry. But most of all, and maybe most importantly, I hope you are happy with where you are, and what you may have become.
I probably won't get them all but I'll give it a shot. and I'm Catholic
Peter Judas James John Matthew Thomas Philip Bartholomew Andrew Matthias
Some people count Paul, but I don't
Well I don't think I did that bad. Especially for not looking anything up. Another good one to ask is if people can name the 10 commandments without looking. Most people mess that one up too.
