Sterilizing Dr. Brown bottles?

We have several Dr. Brown bottles and I am trying to get them ready for use... The instructions in the package says boil the nipple in water for 3 minutes for the first use only ("first use only" is underlined) and then to wash the rest of the parts in hot water... it also says not to exceed 140 degrees (F) which is not even the boiling point so... to me that sounds like you can not boil them... Does anyone know if you can sterilize them or what?

I fill up one half of the sink with the hottest water out of my faucet and some soap. I let me bottles and all parts soak for about 15 minutes. I then hand wash every part with a sponge that I use only for the bottles. They then get air dried. I boil everything once a week, usually on sunday. You can boil again and again. It actually good to do this so the bacteria that your hand washing doesn't get, then boiling will. After a while, the parts will fade in color, but that's only cosmetic. Boil away!
EDIT: I also check my bottle nipples once a week to make sure that they have not become defective.

you should only sterilize them once..then soap and warm water..or the dishwasher. let them dry completely unless you are using them right away. if you make the bottles for the day and put them in the fridge...you don't have to let them dry. if you do it bottle by bottle, let them dry so mold doesn't start forming. mold starts to form after, I think 24 hours.

Are your bottles BPA free ? If not, the more you heat them the more toxins are going to end up in her tummy.

Boiling water or steam are going to increase the rate of leaching of what is a fairly nasty chemical into the food.
