Are atheists so open-minded that Satan gives them a frontal lobotomy?

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Thanks Ben for stepping outside your box today to challenge atheists to consider Faith. We need more assertive voices on here to speak their convictions for God. I pray that those not of faith will take a page from your journey in life today.

May God bless you.

Now, most of the atheists I know would have made some quip like:
"A frontal lobotomy? I'd rather have a bottle in front of me..."

But evidently, the atheists who are answering your question here only have a sense of humor when they are dishing out the insults. Too bad.
They missed a classic opportunity...

OH, by the way, I am a Christian, and have been one for most of my life, but that doesn't mean that I don't understand how atheists might be puzzled about God.
I'm proud of you. You have indeed chosen the best, as you say.
But...take it easy on those who are still lost in the dark, please?
Just remember, there but for the grace of God, would you still be...

(I can't remember which scifi writer I cribbed that quote about frontal lobotomy from..Harlan Ellison? His nemesis, the late great Dr. Asimov? Robert Heinlein, scifi's resident pervert? Or maybe the amazingly witty Douglas Adams, or the equally punny Peirs Anthony?? I'll remember...about the time you close this question, probably....)

I, too, am an erstwhile Atheist. My rebellion against God, thankfully, did not last as long as your own. I turned my back on him for about five years. I am a born again believer now.

Some Atheists are good people. I know a couple of them in real life, as well as on 'answers.' They are quite often highly intelligent, critical thinkers.

I am fond of your question- but I was thinking critically about the mind itself a few weeks ago. We tend to think of the mind as occupying the skull or the brain itself- but how do we really know that is where it reposes? And if the mind is indeed metaphysical, isn't the argument moot to start with? So it doesn't precisely make sense that we tend to say that "I am not so open minded that my brain falls out." Does that make sense?
