Hi, my six year old is mad about gears and inventing stuff that moves. Is there any computer software I can buy where he can learn about gears, cogs etc ? He is reasonably computer savvy.

Have you heard of ROBLOX.com? Its an online gaming community for kids. its got a really great lua scripting program for inventing things like cars and all kinds of things. you start as a lego guy with your own house and place you can do anything with. It also has a great parent partnership. if he likes legos and inventing i really recommend this site, and the best thing is that its free to download and play.

gearhead garage is an old cpu game that you build cars and big foots i played it on windows 98 when i was really young its old game and you need an old computer to run it but its very fun
