At what level do I have to be to beat Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts?
It's funny. I was at a high enough level beat the final boss of the game yet I get my butt kicked by Sephiroth in a matter of moments.

Depending on your gameplaying skills and the strength/defense etc. of your Sora, you will aim to be about level 70+. Dodge his attacks using Guard and Counterattack, and attack whenever possible. Do not hesitate to wait an attack out if he keeps on using his pyro attack or 'randomly swing sword' attack. Guard is an essential ability, however make sure you have plenty on MP for Aero/ra/ga and Cure/ra/ga even if you require MP Rage or MP Haste.
However, with the right abilities, it is not impossible to beat him under level 70. I have defeated Sephiroth at around level 50, It just took a long time.

Sephiroth is twice as hard as the final boss and you should be at least level eighty to attempt this if you are not extremely skilled. If you are on expert mode, you would definetly need to get to lvl 100. However, even if you get to level 100 on normal mode this will still not be a simple fight. Also, you get absolutely no reward for winning besides that he appears in your journal. Another suggestion is to get the ultima weapon. It makes things alot easier. I beat him at level 86 for the first time but it was extremely hard and I could probably not do it again.

My Sora was able to beat Sephiroth at lvl 67 I believe, he's still a tough customer.
Do not take lightly the importance of the use of jumping and Superglide, if you don't have high jump and Superglide, don't even try to beat him. You need to stay on your feet, CONSTNTLY in the air, keep your distance, but don't corner yourself.
Ethers are your best friend in this battle, so have PLENTY of them, make sure you can use Sonic Blade or Strike Raid at ALL TIMES.
When he makes pillars of flames, use Sonic or Strike to deal damage to him AND have the bonus of being invincible for that short time.
When he starts teleporting around and says "Sin Harvest", run over to him as fast as you can and use any attack on him to prevent the use of his spell, if he successfully uses it, fly away and use an elixir, cuz your HP and MP will be GONE. Those are the main pointers.

Your level should be at 60 or 70 and if you can't beat him you need help on skills. Its not your level if it is above 60 it is your skill that is a problem.
You should do combos and to beat him you need some techniques. I beat him when i was level 69 but i don't know how i beat him. I was just pressing triangle and x. This ain't no advice this is a clue.
