Alfred: so you think it is a good idea to start over 53 new govt offices that will cost over 600billion dollars to start off with. You think that cutting Medicare starting this January 2010 by 500billion dollars is a good thing. You think that increasing the taxes on business owners is a good thing to cover the cost. you think that as this plan takes affect all those on medicare will be automaticall pulled into this new system leaving those who exist to fall is a good thing....giving all of us who like our insurances no choice but to eventually go with govt choice....is a good thing.

Alfred MAY be right.... the only problem is, the plan Obama described and tried to sell us on DOES NOT EXIST. The plan he described is not HR3200 or any other plan on the house floor. This is why repubs are so frustrated. So whereas 67% may agree... they are agreeing to something that, at this point, does not exist.
How odd that when Republicans act against the polls, they're showing "leadership" and "vision" and "core values".
And I can't count the times Rush Limbaugh made fun of the Clinton administration for paying so much attention to polls. It proved ideological weakness, apparently.
I wonder...why has the Right suddenly abandoned this world view?
look ....They are all going to be crying when they realize they HAVE TOO have health care....Or pay the fine...don't pay the fine I can only assume they will go after your belongings like they do with the IRS already.... Who has cash laying around the house?Not me... I am trying to keep everything going and get kids into College... But what if it comes down to paying for food or health care? Is it going to go buy your income last year Or are they really going to take the time to look and see you got fired this Month. Look at the answers at this link...They have no idea what they are getting into
President Obama is pragmatic enough to get the best that he can get. President Clinton made the mistake of declaring "his way or the highway." That's why the US is still suffering from this malady.
