ignoring him is an option, but since i often have to deal with this attitude, lack of gratefulness with life and no humbleness at all...it's not that simple. any insights please?? we've all had a case like this in our fams...

Well, you can only take so much from him. I'd recommend having a private word with him. Tell him why he annoys you. Try not to be to public about it otherwise it could make him more arrogant. Also, continuously ignoring him doesn't seem to solve the problem. So I suggest a private conversation with him. If he's not interested or carry's on being arrogant then maybe It's for the rest of your family to see for themselves what he's like.

He knows' so what are you doing to do spoil the party, I would wait until everyone else knows then I would tell every one who never giver a crap that you were the first to know.
I'lll bet that everyone things of there brother in law the same way you do.
