I heard a rumour that UPS and FedEx courier drivers are trained to put the truck in 4th gear and dump the clutch to deliberately stall then engine when parking. Is there any truth to this and, if so, what would be the reason for doing so?

There is no truth to that. There is no reason for that. In fact, UPS drivers who abuse the trucks are disciplined.

i'm getting maximum of applications via united statesthat the motive force knows me and my call. so while im strolling down the line and hes making deliveries he will wave to me, and if hes close by he will say ''hiya mister phil'' and sick say hi.
