Is it fair that Andrew Sullivan had the charges made against him dropped in his marijuana possession case?

There were three other persons who faced the same charges in the same court and did not receive preferential treatment. It seems like Sullivan was given privileged treatment by the Obama DOJ because he has been a big cheerleader for Presedient Obama and his administration.
