UFC- Ultimate Fighting Champion ship, is a company/ organization that promotes MMA fighting.
MMA is mixed martial arts.
You cant fight until your 18 anyway, UFC doesn't have a female division. Start by joining a gym and training with people who know what they are doing. You have to have a combination of Striking and Grappling.
Yeah I'm a girl with three brothers. We used to wrestle around all the time. And I'm looking into joining the National Guard against my mom's wishes, so I know how you feel.
I think your mom does what a lot of moms do when their kid tells them about a dream like that. They wonder. They worry. They learned a thing or two about life and dreams, and know how easy it can be to get caught up chasing a dream that you neglect everything else life has to offer. And life does have a lot to offer. And you still have a lot of it ahead of you.
I say go, and do well in school. Get an education. Try out for sports. Hang out with friends. But don't forget your dreams. Maybe in 4 years the UFC will have a women's division.
To Morethan: Lol. What do you mean women's bodies aren't built for punishment? I dare you to try telling that to your wife/girlfriend while she's giving birth! Lol.
I could go both ways on that. I think that in almost any argument you could come up with a women should be able to do what ever the ***** she wants to do and if she can't do it , it should not be because she is a women. However I am not completely convinced that the female body was made to fight and take punishment. I would like to see testing on how the human female body stands up to punishment . At this point I think that you should not be able to tell a women she can't fight because she is a women. It is very different to tell your daughter she can't fight because she is a women. That is your little girl. Your thinking is that if you get hurt you can take it. Can your mother take it though?
fighting at home, on the street, at school, etc. doesnt matter. The UFC doesnt have any divisions for girls either. If you really want to fight, take MMA classes and start out in small organizations and Strikeforce(top promotion with a women's division) will contact you.
