What's your favorite style and brand of clothe diapers?

We're going to try using cloth diapers with our baby, but there are so many styles (pre-folds, all-in-one, pocket, fitted...) and brands that it's hard to know where to start.

What's your favorite style and brand, and why? (And where do you get them?)

I love Fuzzi Bunz pocket diapers. They are my absolute favorite hands down. They're soft, they wash well, and they have a great fit.
Bum Genius pocket diapers would be a close second. They also wash well and they have a trim fit which is great under cute clothing, but I'm worried they may not fit my daughter to the promised 30lbs. They're cut snugly through the waist.
I hate AIOs. They take forever to dry and you can't adjust the absorbency of them for heavy wetters. If these were the only diapers on the market I'd cope and use them, but since they aren't, I don't.
I've just started to get into prefolds. I actually like them quite a bit. They're a bit messier than pockets and a bit difficult to get on a moving baby, but they're cute and they hold very well. I like unbleached Indian diapers with a classic Pro rap cover.
I get all my diapers at http://www.jilliansdrawers.com/ The women there are very knowledgeable and helpful, the prices are decent. and they have some nice sales. If you're undecided on what you want to use they have a try before you buy package. They send you various brands and styles of diapers to try for 21 days. You keep what you like and pay the difference or you return them all and get back $100 of your $110 deposit. Very nice if you're unsure. A bonus to this program is all the diapers that get lightly used are sold cheaply to other customers, so if you end up loving the Bum Genius dipes you can get on their site and buy gently used ones for a significant discount.

My favorite are the fitted pocket Blueberry brand. I also like BumGenius 3.0 with the fleece lining. I haven't used pre-folds or all in ones so I can't comment. Pockets are really, really convenient but do require extra steps in the laundry to keep them nice. I've had lots of issues with smells and have had to strip continually and bleach every so often. For that reason I wish I didn't use pocket diapers.

I bought most of mine on http://www.blueberrydiapers.com or http://www.cottonbabies.com.

Before I purchased any online I did go to a WAHM diaper business in the area and try on a bunch of different styles as Elyse was a trim baby and we had problems sizing her. I bought my inital stash from her and then added on with the other sites. Don't buy too many of one kind to start.

I use the gerber cotton prefolds. I bought 3 six-count packages at Target and use 2 each time - one as the diaper and one folded to make a soaker pad. I fasten with a Snappi (a MUST if you use prefolds) and cover with a fleece cover that I made myself. I keep a bucket of vinegar water for soaking wet diapers. Total cost was about $30 and I am very happy with the results.

I like them because they really do save me a lot of money (the expensive ones price out to being almost as much as 2 years worth of dispoables) and because they work, I can get a custom fit everytime and they hardly ever leak.

Mostly we use pockets with snaps because they are easiest for my husband and childcare provider. I personally like using fitteds and pre-folds. and when we're just hanging around the house we generally go coverless. I don't know why, I guess I just like how cute they look and the trim fit.
My favorite fitteds are clovers (they are closed until October for vacation though). They are cheaper than most and really nice.
We dislike AIO's because they take too long to dry and unlike pockets they don't come apart to wash so you can never be sure how clean they are inside.
Mostly I order from babyhopesclothdiapers.com, she is super sweet and always sends a free gift when you buy (samples of things usually).

at the instant, i do no longer carry a diaper bag anymore! wooo hoo! yet we are going to be having our 2d toddler in August, so back to diaper bags we go :) in direction of the top of wanting one with my son, I picked up a Lands end diaper bag at a backyard sale (for $5!) It looks like a effective messenger bag. And has way extra area than it appears that evidently like it may. there's a velcro pocket interior the very front. After that there are 3 zippered sections. the 1st pocket is for added clothing and blankets. the middle is for diapers, wipes, and so on. there is even a clip to your keys. The final pocket has a changing mat, a separate service for issues like drugs (it is leek info), and it additionally has a zippered bag for moist products. The very back of the bag has yet another velcro pocket. on the exterior there is an insulated pocket for 2 bottles, and there are 2 pouches (one on the two part) for sippy cups or a drink for mom. you could throw it interior the washer and it comes back out finding new. lots of room, lots of extras - like it :)
