How can you turn canned milk into sweetened condensed milk?
I have boxes and boxes of canned milk. I'd like to get rid of them starting with turning it into sweetened condensed milk so I can make tons of fudge to give away during the holidays. Does anyone have any recipes on how to turn canned milk into sweetened condensed milk? I've read that canned milk is unsweetened condensed milk so there must be some way to sweeten it to turn it into sweeten condensed milk. Please help! Thanks!

Here is a recipe using regular milk. I would try it with the canned milk. Sweetened Condensed Milk 1/3 Cup boiling water 4 Tb butter 3/4 Cup sugar 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1 Cup powdered milk Use electric mixer, blend together water, butter, sugar, and vanilla. Add powdered milk and blend until thick. Store in refrigerator for up to 1 week
I think though the cost of the powdered milk you would be better off using another recipe. This is a great easy fudge Easy Fudge Line a 8 inch square pan with foil. Leave an over hang to use to lift fudge out of pan. 1 1/2 Cup sugar 2/3 Cup evaporated milk 2 Tb butter 1/4 tsp salt 2 Cups mini marshmallows 1 1/2 Cups chocolate chips, semi sweet 1/2 Cup nuts, optional In a heavy saucepan combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter and salt Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Boil for 4 to 5 minutes Remove from heat and add marshmallows and chocolate chips. Stir until smooth and chips and marshmallows are melted. Stir in nuts. Pat into prepared pan. Chill 2 hours. Turn out onto board and remove foil. Cut into squares. This is a great fudge, you can change it by using different flavors of chips. My grandson loves putting M&M's on the top.
