Don't have the money, don't know what to do?

My co-pay for the doctor is $25 and I don't really want to give them my money just to have them say, "You're hormonal, this too shall pass."

The story goes, about two weeks ago, going on three, i was really concerned that I might be pregnant, I mean I was two weeks late for my period. (which i now blame it on stress). THE DAY i went to the doctors to find out why my heart was fluttering so much and to take a pregnancy test, (i figured i could kill two birds with one stone) was the same day in which my period started and the doc said the test was negative.
So here I am, two weeks, going on three, and I am still bleeding!
Its light, spotty. I actually thought it was stopping after day 10, but then it started up again and the colors have varied. From red to brown and back again. I haven't had regular premenstral cramping, it has been sharp pains more to one side or the other of my pelvis, but not the muscle cramps associated with a period.
I just don't want to overreact and pay money to see the doc if its nothing.

Has anyone ever experienced this? And what do you think I should do?

I'd go see the doctor. If the bleeding has been going on for almost 3 weeks, it's time to be seen. Make sure you make them examine you right then when you go in. Sometimes they'll play the " No time to give you a pelvic exam today" card and make you make a new appt. Have it done right then so you don't have to shell out another $25.

Don't ignore this. It could simply be hormonal, but then again it might not be. Women can develop all sorts of problems, including cancer. It's better to be safe than sorry.
