Are these translations right?

I work at a deli as a meat slicer and I need to know how to say these things in spanish. I use translate.google and I just need a native speaker to make sure these are right:

half a pound.= media libra

one pound. = una libra

a quarter of a pound. = un cuarto de libra

one third of a pound. = un tercio de una libra

thicker or thinner = más gruesa o más delgada

Would you like a sample = quieres una muestra

How do you like that slice = Qué le parece que esa parte

I think you are doing a great job in trying to give great service..Just be careful, once you start talking in spanish and the customer thinks you speak spanish they might be talking a lot to you :) and you wont understand .... great effort !!
