Why can't I run Photoshop Elements on Windows?

I got a copy of PSE 6 with my bamboo tablet and I am having trouble running it. I am currently running Windows 7 home premium and when I choose it from the start menu, nothing happens. I have tried running it in compatibility modes for both xp and vista but nothing happens. I also tried running as administrator but that doesn't work. I know there is nothing wrong with the cd because I was successful in installing it on my desktop running Vista and my friend's mac. the problem is not with the os because I had the same problem when I was running vista. please help.

I am certain that Adobe will release a new photoshop Elements especially for Win7, since they have microsoft ear.

I believe the Bamboo tablet should work with the Elements., and the free Gimp, something you could investigate. Have a look at Ben's journal and you can contact him for assistance...

Gimp also has a great newsgroup that would be a valuable asset, if you ISP allows you to have access to the usenet.

There is a wallpaper group in the usenet, and they run a weekly contest, a very knowledgeable group of digital artists using many different operating systems... I have included the website address...

Your two positive answers are somewhat misleading. Element 7 will work nicely on a Windows 7 64-bit computer because it will operate as 32-bit. Windows 7 utilizes two folders, Program Files and Program Files(x86). 32-bit programs will automatically be installed and will run from the Program Files(x86) folder. When Elements 7 is open and running, it will be in 32-bit.
