Is there Free Will in the afterlife?

Let's suppose, for the sake of this question, that God and Heaven/Hell exist. Now, if you die and find yourself in Heaven, are you still able to make your own conscious decisions? And if you can, does this mean you can still make the wrong decisions and be made to Fall, as Satan did in Paradise Lost? Or does the "Glory of God" completely obliterate what we in this mortal world consider to be minds? Just curious.

John W.: I believe this is a perfectly valid question especially suited for R&S. I am looking to jog people's minds, make them think a bit before answering. Yes, I will get a lot of strict belief-based answers, but I am hoping that some will take the time to actually think about what I am asking.

As for those who say that we will still have free will but be unable to sin, how is that possible? Most decisions are based, one way or the other, on our concepts of right and wrong. If there is no possibility of wrong, how can there be any true decision-making? How can there be free will?

I honestly wonder what you expect from asking such a question... and that on the Religion&Spirituality section of YA!, none the less.

You will get all possible answers, based on selective scripture cherry-picking, some scripture interpretation, the interpretation of another religious scripture, on someone's "common sense" of "how it should be", or the fundie's simplistic dogmatic worldview based on what they "belief" or have heard somewhere in some sermon.

Lots... MOST of it is gonna be pure bullshit, as evident from the daily "contributions" on this section.

Edit:
Well, hey, I just conveyed my experience of how q&a's in this sections usually look like, and I'm afraid this wasn't an exception.

Haven is the place for chosen ones only…. God know about us more than we know ourselves …. So if you have proved your self here in this mortal world one of those chosen ones …. Than there is no way that you make any wrong decision or thought like Satan did. Haven is decided for the best of all.

There will be free will in the afterlife. But no-one will ever sin again. The Bible says that sin will not arise again. Nahum 1:9.

Yes, we will be able to make conscious decisions, but those who enter eternal life will not sin because they will never have any desire or inclination whatsoever to sin. God will completely clean and renew their hearts.
