As NASCAR Takes More Of The Race Out Of Racing Will You Remain A Fan?

It was announced today that there will be no "bump drafting" at Talladega, and no contact at all, in the turns.. With the new plate reducing power, what exactly are they supposed to do to gain momentum??

Yes I read the column by Caraveillo, and I wrote a comment about it asking him to stick to the sports he likes.. His views when it comes to NASCAR, seems to cater to the channel surfers..
How do ya' like the "race".. lol

I'll still be a fan, but they need to quit making new rules, its 'Dega, its part of it, thank god they can still BD in straightaways. Oh, now I totally get this, its to keep their poster boy (Jimmie J) from getting bumped or wrecked, now I totally understand. Nascar wants to turn all the drivers into a bunch of Wusses & Pansies. Thank god I was around in the good ole days of 'Dega. Anybody that touches Jimmie today, heck they'll probably park them.

Go Dale Jr.. Bring on 2010

I'll reserve judgement until its over. I don't believe they can't bump draft at Dega. Worse case scenario it will turn into what Bristol has become with the media force feeding the suckers out there a bunch of crap about how the racing is still what it used to be. We'll continue to go to Dega nd the media will try to hype up something it isn't year after year.

That's worse case scenario. As far as remaining a fan I enjoy other tracks a lot more then Dega so I really don't care. Plus the racing style has changed here and Daytona more times then I count.

I've been a fan since I was a young'un but I can't take much more of the rule changes. This has been the most boring season ever and I find myself getting mildly annoyed by watching the sport I once loved. I'm still a fan but not as happy or enthusiastic about NASCAR.

I have already stopped being a fan of nascar. Mainly because there is no competition. Jimmy wins all the time, championship, after championship. It is too boring because of that. Most races, passing the leader is almost non existent. They get a lead and are gone. That is no fun to watch.

Its common sense to not do it in the turns... these drivers are professionals!!!! they know how to not bump in the turn. they never do it on purpose...

Bye nascar... its been a good 18 years, but you guys are losing... I'd rather watch Formula 1 or IRL. At least they're allowed to race.

F**k you, mr.france, mr. pemberton, mr. helton. shame on you. Bill France is rolling in his grave
