What do you think of an adoptive parent who...?

adopted from a state where adult adoptees have equal access to their birth certificates (Kansas), but who advocates for keeping birth certificates sealed in other states and actively lobbies against restored access?

What motivation do you think an adoptive parent like that would have, to consider her son's adopted peers somehow less worthy than him?

The adoptive parent in question is none other than Mary Robinson, the President and CEO of the NCFA, a lobbying group for adoption agencies and adoption lawyers.

Please check out Lori Holden's 4-part interview with Mary Robinson of the NCFA - noting in particular part 3 and how Ms. Robinson's adopted son can get *his* birth certificate from Kansas.

Guess she's looking for job security. Plus, she didn't have much control over where her son was born, did she? That was her son's mother's choice.

Besides, as you've pointed out, she works for a lobbying group. Lobbyists throw money at legislators to further their cause. The NFCA's "cause" (if you could call it that) is finding infants for people who want them. The NCFA gets their money from the attorneys and agencies who broker babies for adoption. Whatever her clients say in public is in sharp contrast to how they behave--they don't want open records. They like it just the way it is: secrets & lies.

I always find it interesting that the people who produce the product (the children) don't get a g*d damn thing. All these "wonderful", "loving" people get what they want on the backs of these "birth mothers".

What a country, eh?

She is EVIL incarnate, and she would naturally believe that she is better and more worthy than all the lesser mortals, adopting or relinquishing or adopted.

I would agree with those who say it is misguided, but that somehow seems to indicate that it is unintentional and well-meaning and I don't thinki that there is one thing about this that is accidental or not totally on mark for their agenda. These are the lobbyists for the agencies, and to my way of thinking they are the axis of evil, the people who keep the bottom feeders in business. These people are the ones who are, ultimately, responsible for the records being sealed, the industry growth, the current push for foreign adoption and almost all the sins of the world. They, hand in hand with their partners in the legislature and the government bureacracy are the penultimate in evil, which would make this AParent the Ultimate, the top banana of the adoption industry. .

in my opinion, a efficient adoption is while the adoption is what's ultimate for all. If the organic and organic mom and dad can not look after a baby for besides the fact that reason they then decide on a loving, good domicile for the youngster. the youngster has mom and dad who're waiting, prepared and able to look after the youngster. The adoptive mom and dad supply like to and get carry of love from the youngster.

Being NCFA, its not surprising.

What do I think? Honestly, sadly, she represents the majority number of adoptive parents... I know not ALL adoptive parents feel like that but most I have come across do.

She is a Hypocrite and so is anyone who actively prevents anyone from getting their OBC. She has hers so she should not get in the way of others getting their RIGHTS.

She paints adoptees as inherently flawed creatures not worthy of possessing our own paperwork without supervision. I'd say she earned her new job. Same old song and dance.
